In keeping with the early camp meeting models, we have planned a single solid week of Camp Meeting. In the early days there were one or two weeks set aside in the middle of the summer, which were really the few weeks between haying seasons, to grow a deeper spiritual life through the Camp Meeting.
- Saturday, July 29 – 5:30 PM Covered Dish followed by 7pm Concert by “Mercy’s Well”
- 5 PM – Covered Dish in Biddle Hall
- Sunday, July 30
- 11 AM – Worship – Mercy’s Well providing music, Pastor Purchase preaching on Isaiah 40
- 7 PM – Worship with David Zipse providing music for an old-fashioned hymn sing, and Dennis Bruce sharing a message.
- Monday, July 31 through Saturday, Aug 5
- 10 AM in the Tabernacle – Adult Bible Study led by Pastor Ethel Guy on the Book of James, and Kid’s Program to be determined.
- Wednesday, August 2 – 6:30 PM Prayer Service led by Sarah McGovern, with special guest Jim Hughes.
- Friday, August 4 – 7 PM Dan Ziegler will bring the message in the Tabernacle
- Saturday, Aug. 5 – 5:30 PM Covered Dish followed by 7 PM – Concert with Jean Watkins Walk Around tradition or as some old camp meetings call it, Illumination Night. We are privileged to invite back one of our Camp Meeting favorites, Jean Watson. All cottagers are to put candles out along the paths and in the circles. Time will be given during the concert to light the candles. Then the camp bell is rung by the Trustees.
- Sunday, Aug 6 – 11 AM in the Tabernacle – Worship led by Simon James and message brought by Dan Ziegler. This service will be followed by 1pm Sunday Dinner in Biddle Hall
- After Dinner, Cottager’s Annual Meeting in Biddle Hall. A quorum is needed.
